Call Your Congressman Not to Co-Sponsor and to Vote AGAINST H.Res. 252
The so-called "Armenian Genocide Resolution," H.Res. 252, has been scheduled for a vote at the House Foreign Affairs Committee on March 4, 2010. We urge Turkish Americans and friends of Turkey to contact your member of Congress NOW and urge him/her NOT to co-sponsor and VOTE AGAINST this resolution.

Google Limits Free Speech
The Turkish Coalition of America for months maintained Google Ads for its website, www.turkishcoalition.org, without protest or incident. But after an aggressive campaign by an Armenian American group Google suddenly and without a chance for the Turkish Coalition of America (TCA) to respond suspended the ads saying that they violated its “Anti” policy. Google also said that it could not accept ads for websites that, “suggest revisions to history.” read more

February 1, 2009 - TCA is urging Turkish American residents of New Jersey to participate in an Action Alert for Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ). Senator Menendez (D) of New Jersey , one of the states with the most populous Turkish/Turkic American community, has become a flag-bearer in the Senate for anti-Turkish actions and rhetoric.

Prevent History Lessons with hateful agenda
Ask your California State Assembly Member to vote against SB 234 unless it is amended to explicitly permit the presentation of contra-genocide viewpoints in genuine historical controversies. SB 234 would allow the California State Curriculum Commission to recommend adding an oral history component to the 2014 history-social science curriculum framework that relates to genocide. read more

TCA requests the U.S. Helsinki Commission to hold a public hearing to exami
The Turkish Coalition of America respectfully requests the United States Helsinki Commission to hold a public hearing to examine Greece’s subjugation of its Turkish minority in Western Thrace. While the European Union and the United States have been quick to award Turkey demerits for allegedly slighting Kurdish culture, they have been conspicuously inaudible in the face of Greece’s decades long campaign of cultural repression, ethnic and religious discrimination and economic marginalization of its Turkish minority. read more
TCA Action Alert on CNN Documentary
The Turkish Coalition of America would like to alert our members to the recent documentary that was aired on CNN, December 4, 2008. The 2 hour special, "Scream Bloody Murder," discusses genocides of the 20th century. Due to inaccuracies that are often propagated in the mainstream media regarding the actions of the Ottoman Empire with regard to the Armenians from 1915 to 1918, TCA took action to ensure that our viewpoint was not silenced in the debate.

Turkish National Sentenced to Death in Saudi Arabia
Washington, DC - May 27, 2008 - Sabri Bogday, a Turkish national, has been sentenced to death by a Saudi court on March 31, 2008 for allegedly cursing the name of God in his barber shop during an argument with a client. Reportedly, Bogday was not represented by a lawyer in court and did not have access to a translator. read more
