The Turkish Coalition of America (TCA) has carried out an extensive program in 2016 to educate Turkish Americans on the importance of public service and maintaining dialogue with elected officials. In addition to speaking with Turkish American organizations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, TCA President G. Lincoln McCurdy has traveled to Southern California, New York, Pittsburgh, Massachusetts and most recently to Miami, Houston and Denver for roundtable discussions on Turkish American empowerment. Further, TCA held its Annual Youth Leadership Congress, November 3-6, for undergraduate/graduate students and recent graduates of Turkish American heritage who wish to become active in American civic and political life, contribute to U.S.-Turkey relations and the Turkish American community, and who are committed to advancing the TCA mission.
