TCA was recognized for its contributions in promoting Turkey-U.S. relations in the U.S. Congress and in encouraging Turkish Americans to participate in the political arena by Rifat Hisarciklioglu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) and the World Turkish Business Council (DTIK) in Washington, DC, on July 10, 2014. Hisarciklioglu was in Washington to meet with U.S. government/congressional officials and to inform Turkish Americans about the activities of the World Turkish Business Council and the importance of the role of the Turkish diaspora in strengthening international relations. TCA facilitated meetings for the TOBB leadership on Capitol Hill and briefed members of the delegation about important items on the US-Turkey congressional agenda.
