On May 18, TCA hosted a delegation from the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) led by DEIK President Omer Cihad Vardan. TCA arranged a program for the DEIK delegation to meet with Representatives Ed Royce (R-CA/39th), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael McCaul (R-TX/10th), Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Steve Chabot (R-OH/1st), Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, Ed Whitfield (R-KY/1st), Co-Chair of the Congressional Turkey Caucus, and Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ/9th), member of the Ways and Means Committee and Turkey Caucus. The delegation also met with congressional staff in the offices of Representatives Robin Kelly (D-IL/2nd), Alex Mooney (R-WV/2nd), Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ/9th) and Pete Sessions (R-TX/32nd). Discussion centered on the importance of maintaining good U.S.-Turkey relations, expanding Turkish investment in the U.S., and strengthening U.S.-Turkey economic ties.
