TCA’s Turkish American Women Leadership Initiative met with Congresswoman Elaine Luria of Virginia’s 2nd congressional district on Capitol Hill for dinner on Monday, September 16, 2019. The Turkish Coalition USA Political Action Committee (TC-USA PAC) sponsored the event. Discussion was not only focused on the US-Turkey relationship but national domestic issues as well. Congresswoman Luria expressed interest in learning more about the Turkish American community.
TCA's next Women Leadership Initiative event will be on October 3rd with a cocktail prolonge honoring former U.S. Consul General in Istanbul Jennifer Davis followed by a panel discussion on U.S.-Turkey relations. It will be at the Cosmos Club, 2121 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) and the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD) are cosponsors.
