On Friday, April 24, 2015, world leaders gathered in Turkey to mark the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign with a ceremony near where the Allied invasion of Gallipoli occurred in 1915.
Participants in the commemorations included Prince Charles and other British royals, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and other officials.
