In 2012, TCA grew its Turkey Study Tour Grant Program by continuing to support educational tours organized by American universities to Turkey. In its second year, four universities received TCA grants totaling 20,000 USD.
George Washington University
George Washington University (GWU) received a $8,500 grant for a ten-day graduate level Comparative Management class tour to Turkey titled ‘East Meets West in Turkey.’ The trip in May 2012 brought 17 students to corporations in Istanbul, Bursa and Cappadocia. Read more.

A repeat-recipient of TCA study tour grants, the Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) was awarded a $3,000 grant to bring 6 students to Turkey on a ten-day trip to explore Istanbul’s rich history and culture. Read more.
Syracuse University
Syracuse University’s School of Architecture received a $5,000 grant from TCA to bring 10 students to explore Istanbul’s ancient and modern architecture. The ten-day trip enabled students to assess architectural traditions in contemporary Istanbul within a larger cultural context. Read more.

Alfred University received a $3,500 grant from TCA for its ‘Istanbul 2012: Crossroads of Civilization’ to enable 6 students to travel to Istanbul for a 4-week trip at the end of a semester-long course exploring Turkey’s historic and contemporary significance. Read more.
