TCA President Attends Turk of America Award Ceremony On May 30, TCA President G. Lincoln McCurdy attended Turk of America's (ToA) 2018 Distinguished Friends of Turkey Award Ceremony at the Harvard Club of New York. McCurdy was one of the 18 jurors for 39 "American Friends of Turkey" who received awards in 32 categories. McCurdy also spoke with U.S. Secretary of Interior Ryan Zinke on the current state of the US-Turkey affairs. Secretary Zinke was a member of the Turkey Caucus during his tenure as a Member of Congress.

TCA Attends Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina (ACBH) Gala On May 5, TCA President G. Lincoln McCurdy and TCA Director Louette Ragusa attended the Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (ACBH) gala in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the statehood of BiH. TCA was a silver sponsor of the event. President Bill Clinton was the keynote speaker of the gala, where he was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

TCA President Meets with Congressman John Garamendi On May 22, TCA President G. Lincoln McCurdy attended a lunch on Capitol Hill hosted by Congressman John Garamendi (D-CA/3rd). On May 24, McCurdy met privately with Congressman Garamendi and his staff to discuss the current state of US-Turkey relations.

TCA Meets with Turkish Americans in California Between May 17-21, TCA President G. Lincoln McCurdy and TCA Directors Louette Ragusa and Nilsu Goren met with members of the Turkish American community in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego, California. On May 18, McCurdy and Ragusa met with Turkish Consul General Can Oguz in Los Angeles and participated in a roundtable discussion with the Turkish American community at the Turkish Consul General's residence.

TCA Director Meets with Members of Congress On May 9, TCA Director Nilsu Goren attended a breakfast event organized by the Government Relations Association (GRA) with Congressman Steve Chabot (R-OH/1st) in Washington, D.C. Congressman Chabot is a Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on the U.S.-Turkey Relations and Turkish Americans. On May 17, Goren attended a lunch organized by GRA with Congressman Donald Norcross (D-NJ/1st).

TCA President Attends Breakfast with Congressman Steve Cohen On May 16, TCA President G. Lincoln McCurdy attended a breakfast hosted by Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN/9th). Congressman Cohen is a Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on the U.S.-Turkey Relations and Turkish Americans.

TCA President Meets with German Marshall Fund Director On May 8, TCA President G. Lincoln McCurdy met with Ozgur Unluhisarcikli, Director of the Ankara Office of the German Marshall Fund (GMF).

TCA President Attends Iftar Dinners On May 24, TCA President G. Lincoln McCurdy attended an Iftar dinner at the Turkish Embassy hosted by Charge D'affaires Aydan Karamanoglu. McCurdy also attended an Iftar dinner on May 23 at the Diyanet Center of America in Lanham, MD.
